This week, the model of last week was modified and details were added by referring to the example of hot air balloon. The shape of the balloon part was adjusted, and the appearance was modified with UV to make it look more interesting.
In the end, we made the rotating animation of our balloon model and exported the animation to exr file for the convenience of Nuke course.
1.Stasis:Vittorio Basile is a wealthy scientist and shipowner; One of his ships, the Megaride, is a high-tech ship that records everything happening inside and displays it as a hologram. Basile, who has a 3-year-old daughter Mia, will marry Angelica, the mother of five daughters.
2.Trigger:On the wedding day, an ambitious drug Lord and Angelica’s secret lover, Salvatore Lo Giusto, kills Basile.
3.Quest:Mia becomes aphonous after this shock and is left under the protection of her stepmother Angelica, since Mia is the only heir of the Megaride and, according to Lo Giusto’s plan, she is going to sign after her 18th birthday a contract that will give all her inheritance to Lo Giusto.
4.Surprise:Primo Gemito, formerly Basile’s bodyguard, tries to find evidence to frame Lo Giusto, Primo is saved by Mia, who was under his protection when she was a baby and they both recognize each other even though 15 years have passed. Thanks to Mia, Primo finds all the evidence he needs.
5.Critical choice:Primo wants to bring Mia away from the Megaride, but she refuses to leave her father’s ship.
6.Climax:Lo Giusto confesses that he has never loved Angelica and he doesn’t want to marry her since she has grown very old and plans instead to marry Mia. At first Mia is flattered by this kindness, but before the ceremony she sees a hologram that shows the moment when Lo Giusto killed her father. Shattered, Mia escapes through the ducts chased by Lo Giusto’s henchmen.
7.Reversal:Primo is leading a group of police to arrest Lo Giusto, while Angelica understands that Lo Giusto wants to marry Mia instead of her. Angelica understands that none of this is Mia’s fault, but her own, for betraying Basile, the only man who ever truly loved her, and then letting Logiusto use her for his own purposes.
8.Resolution:Angelica set off the bomb on the boat. Primo and Mia manage to leave the ship just a second before the explosion, while Lo Giusto is left bleeding to die in one of the hallways.
This week we modeled wine glasses and wine bottles, and hot air balloons. Learned more about modeling related tool use, as well as surface tools. And using spin to model hot air balloons and prepare for nuke’s balloon fiesta.
I was happy with the modeling of wine bottles and wine glasses and the integration with the environment, and Maya’s ambient light reflection made it practical for me. If it is improved, the details of the wine glass and wine bottle can be modified better.
Hot air balloon is also acceptable, but I am still not satisfied with the details such as the shape and color of the balloon. UV was finally used in hot air balloons.

This week we’ve looked at the effects of light quality, color temperature, composition and Angle, and photo size on a live shot.
Week 2 we looked at the use of Maya modeling tools. Also started to build low resolution and high resolution models of different types of modeling as well as basic environments. We tried to model the Lego man and learned about the use of UV.
The modeling of this week is better than that of last week in terms of shape, and I am familiar with the use of modeling tools. The only pity is that UV is not available in this model. I look forward to combining UV with the model later.
This was the first week of Nuke’s course, where we learned about photography and the importance of color, exposure and lenses, perspective and distortion. File format, frame rate. Video management and so on.
I don’t have a specific concept of time, but I like to take picture for the clouds and the sun, which may be another way to witness time.
This is my first week of learning maya. This week, I learned the basic operation of maya and the complete workflow. We also tried to make Tesla truck, including tires. I put the model into the HDRI scene, set up the light shading and render.
Being my first model in maya, I was personally not satisfied because it didn’t look like much. The reason is that the number of faces in the modeling process is too small, and the edge line is not divided to make its shape more beautiful. Later on in the model making need to pay attention to more details.
